Mehmet started our Talent ID process that is now known as the Olympiacos Saturday Advanced Talent ID Schools for boy / girls 5-18YO, under the supervision of our EPSN Euro scouts in 2018, whilst remaining at his club.

Mehmet was then identified by our Euro Pro Scouts and invited to join the advanced full program that is now known as the Olympiacos Melbourne pathway.

Following Mehmet’s successful training under the supervision of our Euro Pro Scouts on the Olympiacos Melbourne Pathway, Mehmet has been scheduled for an assessment at Rentis Training Centre, Athens.

4 years ago, Cesar was valued at AU$500,000 in the transfer market while playing professional soccer in the top flight league of Uruguay.

In 2019, Cesar was scouted by the Euro Pro Scouts Network and put through our Talent ID process, that is now known as our Olympiacos Saturday Advanced Talent ID schools for Men / Women 18+.

One month after being supervised by our Euro Scouts in our Talent ID Advanced Program, Cesar went on to the full Olympiacos Melbourne Pathway.

Following Cesar’s successful training under the supervision of our Euro Pro Scouts on the Olympiacos Melbourne Pathway, Cesar is now scheduled for a future Euro trial with a professional top flight European Club.

This trial is likely to take place in the 2020.

Με μεγάλη χαρά, η Διεύθυνση της Ακαδημίας Ποδοσφαίρου, ανακοινώνει την είσοδο του ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΥ στην ήπειρο της Αυστραλίας (της τρίτης κατά σειρά μετά από Ευρώπη και Αμερική) και τη συνεργασία με τη Melbourne FC.

Ο ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ γίνεται έτσι ο πρώτος και μοναδικός ελληνικός σύλλογος, που αποκτά ενεργή παρουσία στην Αυστραλία, μέσω όχι απλά κάποιας συνεργασίας, αλλά με πλήρη υπαγωγή της Μελβούρνης στο αυτόνομο και αυτοτελές Δίκτυο Σχολών του.

Με περίπου μισό εκατομμύριο Έλληνες να κατοικούν στην Αυστραλία, η Μελβούρνη φιλοξενεί το 50% της ελληνικής ομογένειας, γεγονός που από μόνο του αναδεικνύει τη σημαντικότητα και μεγαλοσύνη της κίνησης του ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΥ.

It is with great pleasure that the Directorate of Football Academy of Olympiacos FC announces the launch of Olympiacos in Melbourne and our collaboration with Olympiacos in Melbourne.

Olympiacos thus becomes the first and only Greek club to have an active presence in Australia, not just through co-operation, but with Melbourne’s full membership of its worldwide Network.

With about half a million Greeks living in Australia, Melbourne hosts 50% of the Australian Greek community, which in itself highlights the importance of the Olympiacos movement.

The Football Academy Directorate, adhering to its principles of developing, upgrading and deploying infrastructure worldwide, is pleased to welcome Melbourne and the Greek community of Australia as a new member of Olympiacos’ wider family!
